Bless Fest
Most Merciful Jesus Catholic Parish in Madison will host their third annual Bless Fest from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days. The event will be a fun-filled family event with something for everyone: enjoy shopping, live musical entertainment, games, food, a silent auction, a raffle, and more. The sweepstakes prizes include $3000, $1000, or $500 cash. The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle for another cash price giveaway. Family admission will cost $5, and individuals will cost $3. All proceeds benefit the new church building at Mercy Parish. Springfest
Get ready for a day of fun, food, and fellowship at Springfest, which will be hosted by St. Patrick Catholic Church in Adamsville from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Several highlights will be the Springfest Market, featuring high-quality handmade items and merchandise, a raffle with a chance to win the grand prize of $1,500 or ten chances to $100, and bingo. Kids will have the opportunity to enjoy inflatables, games, and snow cones. Authentic Hispanic dishes and familiar American fare will be available for purchase. At 1 p.m., the Springfest auction will begin. The online catalog can be viewed and bids can be placed in advance. The church is located at 301 Shamrock Trail. Golf Fore Life
Her Choice Birmingham Womenā€™s Center will hold it 21st annual Golf Fore Life tournament at Highland Park Golf Course in Birmingham, with registration starting at 7:45 a.m. and a shot gun start at 9 a.m. All are invited to come have fun, save lives, and raise funds for Her Choice, the only pro-life pregnancy resource center located in the heart of Birmingham. The cost is $250 ($125 tax deductible) per individual golfer and prizes will be awarded immediately following the tournament. Individual golfers are welcome and will be paired up. Sponsorships are available at $500 for a hole sponsor and $250 for a half hole sponsor. The center exists to help women facing a crisis pregnancy choose life and to support them in that decision. Annunciation of the Lord's Grand Kermes
The Annunciation of the Lord Church in Decatur will hold a Grand Kermes parish picnic from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. The event will take place on the church grounds and will include plenty of food, soccer and basketball tournaments, children's games, and more. There will also be a sweepstakes associated with this event. The grand prize is a 2016 Toyota Tacoma, and the second place is a 2015 GMC Terrain. Par 4 Knights Charity Golf Tournament
St. William Catholic Churchā€™s Knights of Columbus Council 12618 will hold their 3rd Annual Par 4 Knights Charity Golf Tournament from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Gunterā€™s Landing Golf Course in Guntersville. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. and the shotgun start will take place at 10 a.m. Lunch and awards will begin at 2 p.m. Sponsors, golfers, and donations are needed to help make event a success. Proceeds from this year's signature charity event go to three local Alabama charities that support the homeless, victims of domestic violence, and cancer support services. Ordination to the priesthood
Deacon Max Gallegos will be ordained to the Sacred Order of Presbyters by Bishop Raica at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Paul in Birmingham, becoming the newest priest of the diocese.
