Corpus Christi Catholic Church will hold a procession in worship of Jesus Christ on June 1 at 10 a.m. on Railroad Avenue behind Regions Bank in Oneonta. Parishioners will offer songs of praise. Eucharistic miracle exhibit
St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hoover will host a Eucharistic Miracle Exhibit based on the website created by Blessed Carlos Acutis before and after all Masses in the Parish Hall. Visitors will be able to learn about 20+ different confirmed miracles to strengthen faith around the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Light refreshments will be provided. Church Yard Sale
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Pell City will hold its annual church yard dale from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on both days with 100 percent of the proceeds going to benefit the poor through the parish’s Social Concerns for the Poor program. The church is now accepting donations, and is interested in old games, jigsaw puzzles, DVD's, CD's, records, baseball cards, Legos, blocks, books, school supplies, wrapping paper, artificial Christmas trees, holiday decor, knick-knacks, housewares, dishes, bedspreads/comforters, sheets, towels, tablecloths, purses, shoes, luggage, tools, fishing gear, sports equipment, toys, baby items, blankets, yard art, lawn qquipment, furniture, lamps, craft supplies, pictures, picture frames, statues, stuffed animals, dolls, collectibles, electronics, artificial plants, glassware, ceramics, exercise equipment, small appliances, coffee makers, waffle irons, pots & pans, and drinking glasses. Solemnity of the Sacred Heart and the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
The Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary invite you to celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart and the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Join them to celebrate their patronal feast days at the Great Vigil of the Pierced Hearts. For the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart on June 7, Mass will begin at 7 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, followed by eucharistic adoration until midnight. For the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on June 8, Mass will begin at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. All are invited to attend. Adoration Sodality Day of Recollection
From 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament will host an Adoration Sodality Day of Recollection with the national eucharistic pilgrims traversing the Juan Diego Route to the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis. The guest speaker for the day will be Father John Eckert, V.F. At 1:30 p.m., a Eucharistic procession with the national eucharistic pilgrims will take place from the shrine's Lourdes Grotto to the main church followed by a eucharistic healing service. The event will be broadcast live on EWTN. The day will also consist of Mass, confessions, a spiritual talk, tours of the shrine and Pope St. John Paul II Eucharistic Center, with free breakfast and lunch. Rummage sale
St. Joseph Catholic Church in Huntsville will hold a “Treasures of the World Rummage Sale” in the Messmer Center, also known as the Holy Family School Gym, on Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. All proceeds support the Holy Family School Capital Campaign.
