Advent Revival
Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in the historic Titusville neighborhood of Birmingham will be hosting an Advent Revival beginning at 6 p.m. The theme for the evening is “A new dawn: Coming to the fulfillment of Christ.” Parishioner Brent Patterson will offer a reflection and story. Music will be provided by Tanisha Vernon. Father Godwin Ani, pastor, and Deacon Douglass Moorer will lead adoration and offer blessings of healing and purification. Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Mass
Bishop Raica will celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Cathedral of St. Paul at 6:30 p.m. During Mass, the bishop will bless the Cathedral’s new organ. Note: The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Holy Day of Obligation.

Advent Night of Mercy
Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church is hosting an Advent Night of Mercy beginning at 7 p.m. and concluding at 9 p.m. The free event will be hosted by Catholify and will feature the amazing musical talent of The Vigil Project, musicians based out of New Orleans. The evening will be packed with worship, inspirational speaking, and Eucharistic Adoration in the heart of Advent. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for those wishing to attend in person. There will also be a livestream available for parish groups or families who want to participate from home. Promotional materials are available for those who want to host a "watch party." “Christmas at the Cathedral”
The Office of Sacred Liturgy is hosting the first annual “Christmas at the Cathedral” at 5 p.m. The Christmas concert will feature the Cathedral’s newly installed organ, the Diocesan Choir, and a few special guests. The concert is open to the public and free to attend.

John Carroll Catholic High School Partner School Night
John Carroll Catholic High School will host a partner school night. The girls and boys basketball teams take on Oak Grove High School with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys at 7:30 p.m. All partner school students receive free admission and will be invited onto the court to form the spirit tunnel prior to the start of each game. The school is located at 300 Lakeshore Pkwy. in Birmingham.

Simbang Gabi Mass and Celebration for the Filipino Catholic Community
The Simbang Gabi Mass and celebration for the Filipino Catholic community will take place at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Bishop Raica will celebrate the Mass. The church is located at 2061 Patton Chapel Rd. in Hoover.

The Jazz Heritage Band of Alabama Concert
The Jazz Heritage Band of Alabama will present a concert at Our Lady Queen of the Universe prior to the Christmas Eve Mass. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and is free to attend. The church is located at 961 Center St., N., in Birmingham.
