John Carroll Catholic High School Theatre Director Joey Plaia ('00) was named State Thespian Troupe Director of the Year. The award marks the second time Plaia has been honored with the recognition. Recipients are nominated by their students and selected by their peers. This year’s award, a ceramic vase, was made by Larry Allen, an artist from Alabama whose work has been featured at the Birmingham Museum of Art. His pottery was also featured in the movie Wakanda Forever.
