Knights of Columbus Council #7584 and LifeSouth held a blood drive in the parish hall of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hoover on Sunday, July 10. Thirty-four pints of whole blood and one unit of plasma were collected during the five-hour period. The amount collected was particularly significant due to the time of year. Summer is when blood supplies are critically needed. The Knights and LifeSouth thank all the donors of this life-saving gift. The parish is planning another blood drive to be held later this fall.
