Father Philip Paxton, C.P., pastor of Holy Family and St. Mary's Catholic Churches in Birmingham and Fairfield, respectively, was presented a resolution by State Senator Linda Coleman-Madison during a joint celebration on Oct. 21, honoring Holy Family’s 85th anniversary and St. Mary's 80th anniversary. Coleman-Madison is a member of St. Mary's and the chair of the Parish Council. Joining Father Paxton in the presentation was McDaniel Johnston, chair of Holy Family’s Parish Council.
