The Knights of Columbus Council of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Hoover organized an onsite outreach with the organization Sleep in Heavenly Peace. The Knights, along with parishioner volunteers, built 43 beds for children in need. It was an incredible day for parishioners, putting their hands and hearts to work constructing the simple wooden beds in the parish’s parking lot. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a charitable organization that fulfills requests for beds for children who are sleeping on the floor, on sofa cushions, or pallets. The organization and its partners, such as Prince of Peace, also include a mattress and bedding to provide a complete bed for the child.
