Dominican Father Peter Cameron led the priests of the Diocese of Birmingham on their annual retreat at St. Bernard Abbey in Cullman the last week of October. The retreat marked Bishop Raica’s first retreat with the priests of the diocese. One of Father Cameron’s many insights was that “Jesus didn’t come to take away suffering, but to fill it with meaning often through the priest.”
