On Sunday, Feb. 27, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Cropwell held their annual Shower of Blessings, benefitting Ann’s New Life Pregnancy Medical Center (ANLC) in Pell City, which was founded at the parish over a decade ago. The shower, held by the parish’s Pro-Life Committee, began with prayer acknowledging that none of the successes of ANLC would be possible without God. The parish hall was decorated with balloons and pictures of babies of the parish. Father Bill Lucas, pastor, was the shower’s featured speaker. Father Bill encouraged parishioners to be a part of the culture of life in a world full of the culture of death.
