OLS observes Divine Mercy Sunday

A large gathering of parishioners and guests assembled for the feast of Divine Mercy holy hour at Our Lady of Sorrows Church (OLS) on April 16 with OLS Pastor Msgr. Martin M. Muller and Fathers Eric Gami and Justin Ward. The 3 p.m. prayer service included exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a homily, hymns, prayers from St. Faustina Kowalska’s diary including the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and benediction. In his homily, Msgr. Muller said, “The most important aspect of our lives is that we ask for mercy… and trust in God.” He added that “humans are asked to imitate God’s mercy” as stated in the Lord’s Prayer. In speaking of Jesus’ gift of mercy, Msgr. Muller noted that the parish has received many blessings since holding annual Divine Mercy holy hours as well as establishing perpetual eucharistic adoration. Congregants also had the opportunity to privately pray before the Divine Mercy image and three relics of St. Faustina.
