Local school holds penance service

A recent school-wide penance service was held at Prince of Peace Catholic School, where every Catholic student in grades 2nd-8th was invited to partake in the sacrament of reconciliation. Under the guidance Father Jon Chalmers, pastor, and with the support of priests and dedicated clergy from across the diocese, the Prince of Peace Catholic School community came together in a spirit of humility and contrition to provide the school with the opportunity to individually confess their sins in a Lenten Reconciliation Service. It served as a powerful reminder of the school’s collective responsibility to foster an environment of deep reverence for the sacraments of our faith, guiding students in the footsteps of Christ.
