The Sims family, parishioners of Holy Family Parish in Ensley, were honored as one of the 2023 Families of the Year by the Family Guidance Center of Alabama at the Birmingham Cross Plex. The award recognizes the family unit as the foundation of communities. The families are chosen based on family teamwork, individual growth, and family involvement. The Family Guidance Center of Alabama is a nonprofit organization that has provided comprehensive family services to help improve the quality of life for children, couples, and families since 1959.
