Knights of Columbus support campus ministry
Billy Pickard, Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council 635, presents Father Bryan Jerabek, pastor and rector of the Cathedral of St. Paul, with a check for $15,000 on July 6 to support the diocesan campus ministry program. The money will go to support the campus ministry program for students attending UAB, Samford, and Birmingham Southern. As part of its mission of charity, Council 635, based at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Chapel and the oldest Knights of Columbus Council in Alabama, provides both financial and non-financial support to the diocesan Catholic campus ministry program. Council 635 has been providing support to campus ministry since 2015 and has contributed over $190,000 towards the program. Membership in the Knights of Columbus Council 635 is open to men 18 years of age or older who are practicing Catholics in union with the Holy See.
