St. John Paul II Catholic High School recently announced that Genevieve “Jane” Detwiler, Class of 2025, (pictured with Principal Jeremiah Russell) was recognized as a 2024-25 National Merit semifinalist. Last October, over 1.5 million students entered the National Merit Scholarship Program, and in April, 50,000 highest scores were identified. From that number, 16,000 high performers were designated semifinalists on a state representational basis.
