High School Students Make an Impression

On Feb. 15, St. John Paul II Catholic High School (JPII) hosted a parish luncheon for local priests, directors of religious education, youth ministers, and secretaries. During the luncheon, Dr. Russell shared the JPII strategic plan and the desire to have students participate more in local parish activities. Part of the discussion led to JPII students travelling to Cullman for the Good Shepherd Confirmation Retreat, helping lead the confirmation students and giving advice by telling their own faith journey. The JPII students were asked to discuss a tough time or a dilemma they faced, how their faith helped them in their decision making, and what lessons were learned.
