High School Holds Baptism and Confirmation for Students
On May 5, in front of the entire school community at Mass, John Carroll Catholic High School (JCCHS) welcomed five students into full communion with the Catholic Church and confirmed another five students. During this past school year, the students were led through RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) classes by John Carroll Campus Chaplain Father Jonathan Howell, and Campus Minister Abby King. The confirmation Mass, held in the school gymnasium, was attended by the studentsā€™ families, confirmation sponsors, and nearly 500 Cavalier students. The Mass was celebrated by Father Bob Sullivan, president of JCCHS and vicar general of the Diocese of Birmingham, and concelebrated by Father Jon Chalmers, executive vice-president of JCCHS, and Father Jonathan Howell.
