Helping to spread the Fatima messages was the goal of about three dozen parishioners at Our Lady of Sorrows on Oct. 14. They participated in the America Needs Fatima Rosary Rally at the church as part of over 21,000 rallies held across the United States to pray for the country and to pray for the expansion of the Fatima messages and devotion to the Immaculate Heart. The anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun, which occurred in Fatima, Portugal, and was seen by over 70,000 people, is Oct. 13. The Feast of Our Lady of Fatima is May 13, the date in 1917 when Our Lady first appeared to three shepherd children. She appeared six times to Lucia and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta between May 13, 1917 and Oct. 13, 1917.
