The John Carroll Catholic High School cheerleaders took top honors at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Camp at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. The varsity cheerleaders won for overall best tradition, and in the group evaluations for the large varsity division, JCCHS received first place in sideline cheer, group cheer, and camp routine. For the overall awards, JCCHS took home first place in overall sideline routine, third place in both overall cheer and overall camp routine. Of the school’s cheerleaders, 11 girls were selected to the All-American Team. They include Inessa Ambroise, Micah Blue, Kimy Campos, Ann Marie Connova, Caroline Fowlkes, Johnna Hawkins, Kaylynn Nutter, Katie Plaia, Lucie Schauer, Sophie Kate Turner, and Mia Wos. The team is coached by Tina Tombrello Wos ('92).
