Braving the rain for Corpus Christi

On June 1, parishioners of Oneonta’s small but thriving only Catholic Church, Corpus Christi, braved the rain to process along a downtown street behind Father James Hedderman, pastor, as he carried the Blessed Sacrament. “Come let us adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament on the memorial of St. Justin Martyr who proclaimed the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist in the second century,” remarked Father Hedderman. During the procession those gathered said the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet in and English and Spanish, praying for peace in families and in the world.
