75 years of the spirit of sharing

The 75th Annual Independence Day Festival at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Birmingham’s oldest Fourth of July festival, provided patriotic fun and food to hundreds of people. The Knights of Columbus Council 4304 coordinated the event, preparing Boston butts, turkey breasts, slabs of ribs, chicken halves, and hot dogs. Several dozen volunteers assisted with food sales, games, baked goods, bingo, a raffle, and the Trash and Treasure rummage sale.
