Totus Tuus missionaries complete training at Casa Maria

Totus Tuus Missionaries serving the Diocese of Birmingham completed their training at Casa Maria Retreat House in Irondale. The missionaries are now at their assigned parishes for the summer.

Totus Tuus is a program committed to bringing kids closer to Christ through the sacraments, prayers and fun. Totus Tuus missionary teams consist of two men and two women, selected based on their commitment to the Catholic faith, a desire to teach the faith, love of children, energy, and leadership abilities. The teams adhere to a well-defined schedule, which has a structured prayer life as its foundation.

Parishes participating in the Totus Tuus program this year are Good Shepherd in Huntsville, Holy Spirit in Huntsville, Annunciation of the Lord, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Our Lady of the Valley in Ft. Payne, St. Leo's, St. John the Apostle in Alexander City, St. William, Chapel of the Holy Cross, St. James in Gadsden, St. Joseph in Florence, Good Shepherd in Russellville, and Sacred Heart in Cullman.

Parishes interested in participating in the program next year can contact the Office of Religious Education at cwinters@bhmdiocese.org or dmccormick@bhmdiocese.org.
