POPopoly: A Night of Food, Fun, and Fortune

Prince of Peace Catholic School in Hoover will welcome back its annual auction fundraiser on Saturday, March 6, 2027. The event’s theme will be “POPopoly: A Night of Food, Fun and Fortune.” Taking place in the school’s gym, the Monopoly-inspired fundraiser promises an evening of food, entertainment, exciting auction opportunities, and community fellowship—all in support of Prince of Peace Catholic School.

POPopoly is proudly presented by OrthoAlabama Spine and Sports, whose generous partnership and continued support help make this special evening possible.

Guests can look forward to an exciting variety of auction items, including unique experiences, family favorites, and creatively themed baskets. Among the offerings will be Hooked on the Hunt, Bake It 'Til You Make It!, Backyard Box Office, and Relax Mind, Body & Soul. From outdoor adventures and family movie nights to baking fun and much-needed relaxation, there will be something for everyone.

Student creativity will also be on display through the school's grade-level art projects. The handcrafted pieces include a chess and checkerboard, serving tray, plant stand, wooden wall art, and more. Each project represents the creativity and hard work of Prince of Peace students, making these one-of-a-kind items especially meaningful.

For those feeling lucky, the popular Whiskey, Wine, Cross, and Squishy pulls will add an extra element of surprise. The excitement of the evening will continue with a live auction led by Jack Granger of Granger, Thagard and Associates, bringing plenty of energy and friendly competition to the evening.

Every ticket purchased, item donated, and bid placed will go to directly support students and teachers. Proceeds help provide classroom resources, educational opportunities, and programs that enrich the school experience while supporting the school's mission of providing an exceptional education rooted in the Catholic faith.

The annual auction also brings together families, alumni, parishioners, local businesses, and friends for an evening of fellowship and shared purpose. Tickets are $80 per person, but guests can take advantage of special $65 early-bird pricing through the “Advance to Go” promotion beginning in January. An unlimited beverage band is also available for $30.
