Students ‘Salute Our Veterans’

Holy Spirit Regional Catholic School in Huntsville and the Knights of Columbus Assembly #0004 were proud to offer the annual patriotic program to “Salute Our Veterans.” For the safety of our veterans, this year’s program, like last year’s, was recorded in order to be shown online.

Typically, this annual event is held on Constitution Day (Sept. 17) to allow our veterans to take part in other activities on Nov. 11. Constitution Day puts the focus on the document that the men and women of the military are called on to defend.

Colonel Tony Parilli shared his wisdom as the guest speaker. He reminded the children that when God calls us to serve, our answer should be, “Here I am Lord, send me!” God bless Colonel Parilli and all veterans for their courageous service to our country.

If you are able to watch this program, please reflect on the countless sacrifices that the men and women of the Armed Services and their families make in order to serve our country. We cannot adequately repay their sacrifice, but we can make sure that our children begin to appreciate what these individuals have done for us. As such, the children of Holy Spirit Regional Catholic School are deeply involved in bringing this tribute to fruition.
