St. Bernard Preparatory School forms admissions alliance with Saint Anselm College

St. Bernard Preparatory School in Cullman has formalized a new admissions partnership with Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, strengthening the educational opportunities available to its graduates.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), grounded in the shared tradition of Benedictine education, establishes a direct pathway for qualified St. Bernard students to pursue their studies at one of New England’s leading Catholic liberal arts institutions.

Under the terms of the agreement, Saint Anselm College will guarantee admission to St. Bernard Prep graduates who earn a minimum 3.0 GPA, award a minimum $20,000 annual merit scholarship (totaling $80,000 over four years), provide an additional $3,000 Catholic High School Grant annually, and waive the application fee.

Founded in 1889 by the Benedictine Monks of Saint Anselm Abbey, Saint Anselm College is widely recognized for its academic excellence in business, health and nursing, social sciences, biology, and the liberal arts. Its graduates are noted for their strong critical thinking skills and professional achievements.

Father Dominic Lee, assistant headmaster at St. Bernard Prep, expressed appreciation for the partnership, stating: “We are deeply grateful to Saint Anselm College for their commitment to supporting St. Bernard Prep graduates. This agreement reflects our shared dedication to academic excellence and Catholic values, while providing meaningful opportunities for students to succeed in higher education.”
