St. Bernard Prep students recognized

St. Bernard Preparatory School in Cullman was honored to welcome Kathy Holmes of the Cullman County Soil & Water Conservation District to campus as she presented awards to four students for their outstanding achievements in the organization’s annual poster contest.

Students Yesi Aburto-Santiago, Parker Guthery, Caroline Sanders, and Azlynn Florence were recognized for their award-winning artwork, which reflected this year’s theme, “Soil: Where It All Begins.” The contest, open to local schools across Cullman County, encourages students to explore and illustrate the importance of soil and conservation.

In the 7th–9th grade division, Azlynn Florence earned 2nd place and Caroline Sanders received 3rd place honors. In the 10th–12th grade division, Yesi Aburto-Santiago placed 2nd, while Parker Guthery earned 3rd place. Each student was presented with a check in recognition of their achievement.

The students’ artwork will remain on display through May with the Cullman County Soil & Water Conservation District, highlighting their creativity and commitment to environmental awareness.

St. Bernard Preparatory School extends its sincere appreciation to the Cullman County Soil & Water Conservation District for its continued support of student artists and for promoting conservation education throughout the community.
