God is Good, All the Time!

Jesus Christ is the one priest. All the faithful are called to share in His priesthood through baptism; however, some of the faithful are called by God to the ministerial priesthood in holy orders. Through God’s love, I have been called to share in the priesthood of Jesus Christ through my baptism and ordination.

God has blessed me, for I was born into a family with loving parents and four wonderful siblings. My parents and grandparents were devout Catholics who attended daily Mass, and I became an altar server as soon as I was eligible. God gave me a personal relationship with Jesus at a young age, and that relationship has deepened, particularly through the Eucharist.

I attended school at Blessed Sacrament and John Carroll High School, both in Birmingham. In my parish and my schools, I was blessed to know priests who were outstanding role models.

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a parish priest, and immediately after high school, I began my studies as a seminarian.

Prior to my ordination, I served as youth minister for parishes in New Orleans and Birmingham. As a parish priest, I was blessed with opportunities to offer not only high school and young adult ministries but also campus ministry.

All elements of parish ministry have been enriching, but I have received special blessings from youth and young adult ministry. These young people have inspired me with their faith, their idealism, their generosity, and their willingness to serve God. I thank them for the inspiration they have offered me in my priesthood.

All the time, God is good!
