St. Francis University Parish in Tuscaloosa is sponsoring a pilgrimage to Ireland, Aug. 7-18, 2023. Father Tom Ackerman, pastor, will be the group’s spiritual director. During the pilgrimage, daily Mass will be offered at holy sites. Also, pilgrims will spend a day at the shrine of Our Lady of Knock, celebrate Mass at Kylemore Abbey, and travel through St. Patrick's country to Downpatrick, where he is buried. While in Ireland, the group will enjoy the beauty of the Emerald Isle, experiencing the hospitality and traditions of the locals on a sheep farm and in the pubs. Out of the 35 available spots for the pilgrimage, only ten remain.
