'A busy Sunday'
It was a busy Sunday morning on Sept. 8 for Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church’s parishioners. Besides having several opportunities to attend Mass and celebrate the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the campus was abuzz with the first day of the Parish School of Religion (PSR) and the Adult Education Bible Timeline Study. Also, volunteers were busy in the kitchen preparing hot lunches for the Food for Our Journey (FFOJ) nonprofit food van to deliver. Adult education participants enjoyed orientation with Pastoral Associate Sister Madeline Contorno, O.S.B. PSR parents and children read class assignments posted outside the school. FFOJ volunteers made more than 200 plates of spaghetti – with both vegetarian and meat sauce – accompanied with salad, rolls, and dessert.
