Local students named National Merit Finalists

John Carroll Catholic High School recently announced that seniors Adeline Jehu and Lily Watts have been named National Merit Finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Program.  

Jehu is the daughter of Sean and Tara Jehu and attends St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She is a campus minister, a manager for the girls' soccer team, a member of the Drone Filming Club, a varsity swimmer, a member of the Liturgical Ensemble, the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, the Latin Honors Society, and the National English Honors Society. Jehu has received college acceptances from Auburn University, Franciscan University of Steubenville, and The University of Notre Dame.  

Watts is the daughter of Jubal and Jenny Watts. She is also a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Francis Xavier School. She is the co-captain of the John Carroll Catholic High School Colorguard and Winterguard teams, as well as a member of the Robotics Club, the National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. She is also active in John Carroll's theatre program. Watts has received college acceptances from the University of Alabama, Auburn University, Case Western Reserve, and the University of Georgia.
