Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Hoover will regularly host a national group called "Catholic in Recovery" every Saturday at 10 a.m. This national organization offers support to promote healing from addictions, compulsions, and unhealthy attachments. The weekly meetings combine the spiritual principles of 12 -step recovery and the sacraments of the Catholic Church. 

Participants join others in recovery, overlapping scripture from Sunday’s Mass readings, liturgical themes, and recovery topics with honest discussion and prayer. Confidentiality is protected. Those recovering from any addiction, compulsion, or unhealthy attachment are welcome to attend.
