Knights of Columbus ‘Coats for Kids’ covering Alabama

Standing in front of 48 cases of coats, the North Alabama councils showed up strong procuring heavy and lightweight coats through the Knights of Columbus’ “Coats for Kids” program. For this program, the Knights of Columbus’ Supreme Council matched all state orders case-for-case. Statewide, the Alabama councils purchased 52 cases and received 104 cases for distribution via four distribution points in Daphne, Prattville, Hoover, and Huntsville.

The 48 cases, which constitutes 672 new coats, distributed to five participating councils in North Alabama included Council 3989 in Florence, 3986 of St. Anns in Decatur, 12618 of St. Williams in Guntersville, 764 at Holy Spirit, and 11672 at Good Shepherd in Huntsville.

The new coats are destined to support those in need including schools, Catholic charitable agencies, churches, and community outreach programs across north Alabama.
