High demand for conference speaker causes venue change and pre-registration
The Catholic Charismatic Renewal Conference of the Diocese of Birmingham will be held on July 21 and 22 at John Carroll Catholic High School. The conference theme is “Victory in Jesus.” Father James Blount will be the main speaker with Father Eric Gami, parochial vicar at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, and Teresa Ragusa, a miracle COVID survivor, also speaking. Holy Mass will be celebrated on Friday by Father Paul Asih, M.S.P., pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Bessemer. Father Frankline Formukong, administrator of St. Charles Borromeo Parish and St. Joachim Parish, will celebrate Holy Mass on Saturday.
Father James Blount is an internationally known healing ministry priest of the Society of Our Lady of the Trinity (SOLT) in the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Georgia. A very gifted spiritual director and confessor, Father Blount is a bold, charismatic preacher endowed and empowered with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He is a powerful instrument of the Holy Spirit as evidenced by so many stories of miracles, healings, and conversions. He speaks of living a life in relationship with each person of the Holy Trinity. Father also has an intimate relationship of love and devotion to Jesus and Mary which draws many souls to fall in love with them.
In his talks, Father Blount helps increase awareness of the intense spiritual battle in our present world where evil has waged war against the sacred thus aiming toward the destruction of family life. His humble boldness and untiring drive to minister to the lost and ill are particularly noteworthy. His teachings depict his deep love for the Eucharist. Dedicated to his healing ministry, Father Blount travels preaching and proclaiming the Gospel in the United States and abroad.
Because of the recent demand to hear Father Blount, everyone must pre-register to attend the conference.
