Haiti Mission receives donation from Huntsville students
Holy Spirit Regional Catholic School in Huntsville recently held an out-of-uniform day to raise funds for their parish’s Haiti Mission orphanage educational program. The school is sponsoring Darlencia, a fifth grader, who has lived in the mission’s sponsored orphanage in Haiti since she was in first grade. In order to provide housing, food, clothing, and tuition, $700 a year is needed per student.
Due to the generosity of the school’s student family, the school was able to provide support for nine additional students whose families have been displaced by roving gangs.
Lauren Klinzak, operations lead for the Holy Spirit Catholic Church's Haiti Mission, accepted a check for $2,400 from Vince Aquila, principal of Holy Spirit Regional Catholic School.
