Diocese to Join Pope Francis in Act of Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
The Holy Father, Pope Francis, will lead an Act of Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25, 2022, in Rome. The Holy Father has invited each bishop, together with his priests, to join in this act of consecration, if possible, at an hour corresponding to 5 p.m. Central European Time.
In response to the invitation of Pope Francis, Bishop Steven J. Raica will lead the recitation the Most Holy Rosary and make the Solemn Act of Consecration in union with Holy Father in the Cathedral of St. Paul in Birmingham at 11 a.m., Friday, March 25.
All priests, deacons, religious, and members of the lay faithful are invited to join in prayer.
Bishop Raica will also celebrate the Mass for the Solemnity of the Annunciation at 6:30 p.m. in the cathedral that evening.
