Deputy U.S. Surgeon General speaks at OLS School

American veterans were honored at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic (OLS) School during an extraordinary Veterans Day assembly in the Roger McLaughlin School Gym. Distinguished Deputy U.S. Surgeon General Rear Admiral Denise Hinton was the guest speaker for the program.

The assembly included honorary recognition for all military family members in attendance and a special presentation by the John Carroll Catholic High School Concert Band. OLS School students sang patriotic songs, including “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” “My Country ‘Tis of Thee,” and “This Land Is Your Land.” Following the event, a light reception was held in the school’s library for parents, guests, and the media.
