On June 30, Bishop Emeritus Robert J. Baker celebrated the sacrament of confirmation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bessemer. Father Reju Pynadath, pastor, with the help of Johnny and Patricia Rector, the directors of religious education, presented 31 candidates for confirmation. A reception followed the event for family and friends.
