St. William Parish’s Knights of Columbus Council 12618 will sponsor its annual Par 4 Knights Charity Golf Tournament from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on May 18 at Gunter’s Landing Golf Course in Guntersville. The Knights are actively seeking sponsors and golfers for the event which helps raise funds for local Alabama charities. Besides the team golf event, there will be prizes for the putting contest, hole in one, longest drive, and closest to pin, along with door prizes, a lunch, and an awards ceremony. 

The last three tournaments have raised a total of $37,800, which was donated to charities providing transition housing for the homeless, help for women and children dealing with domestic abuse, hospice care, cancer awareness, pregnancy center, persons with intellectual disabilities, and local police and firemen. This year's donations will help local veterans, American Heritage Girls scouting, and persons with eating disorders.
