RETIRED PRIEST STATUS 

With gratitude for his zealous priestly service in the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama, Father Michael Adams is granted Retired Priest Status, effective Nov. 1, 2025.

PAROCHIAL ADMINISTRATOR 

Father Jose Raphy Ambooken is named Parochial Administrator of St. Mary of the Visitation Parish in Huntsville, effective Oct. 31. 

Father Eric Gami is named Parochial Administrator of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Birmingham, effective Oct. 31. He continues his service as Parochial Administrator of St. Barnabas Parish in Birmingham. 

DEACON-ADMINSTRATOR

Deacon Jeffrey Montgomery is named Temporary Deacon-Administrator of St. Mary of the Visitation Parish in Huntsville, effective Oct. 3 until Oct. 31. 

Deacon G. Neal Kay is named Deacon-Administrator of Holy Rosary Parish in Birmingham, effective Oct. 31. He continues his service as Deacon of St. Francis Xavier Parish, also in Birmingham. 

CHAPLAIN

Father Hugo Esparza Perez is named Chaplain to the Latino Community of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Birmingham, effective Oct. 31.
