Student Saints Celebrate Special Feast Day

The fourth graders at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School dressed in saintly attire as they celebrated All Saints Day with a special school-wide liturgy on Nov. 1.

The inspiring liturgy was a part of their study of the saints. Over the past month, the students learned about the saints and the long process of canonization. As a part of their unit of study, they were assigned to research a saint, take notes, and cite sources to complete their in-depth reports. They also created a Google slide presentation and a beautifully drawn portrait of their holy person.

During the liturgy, the foot of the altar was adorned with their saintly works of art. Limited seating was available for parents to attend, while others had the opportunity to join them virtually.
