St. Francis Xavier School to host annual spaghetti dinner
On March 5, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School’s Home and School Association (HSA) launched its annual Saint-A-Thon fundraiser, which, like last year, will include a special spaghetti dinner and silent auction in the Parish Hall at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
The dinner and auction will take place on Saturday, April 5, at 5:30 p.m. Spaghetti, beer, and wine will be available for purchase. To-go plates will also be available.
Before dinner, guests will have the opportunity to bid on items in the HSA’s silent auction.
The fundraiser culminates at the fun run, which will take place during the school day on Friday, April 11. Last year, the school raised almost $40,000 through the Saint-A-Thon, $10,000 of which came from the dinner and auction alone.
This year, the HSA hopes to raise $50,000. All proceeds will go to providing educational materials for St. Francis Xavier teachers and valuable opportunities for its scholars.
Aside from participating in the spaghetti dinner and silent auction, individuals eager to contribute to the Saint-A-Thon can make a tax-deductible donation online. Businesses can sponsor the fundraiser by contacting HSA President Krissy Custis at homeandschool.sfxcatholic@gmail.com.
