Spotlight shines on OLS stewardship
Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood recently hosted a lively Stewardship Night that brought parish outreach and ministry work into focus. Held on April 20, the dinner event featured representatives from a wide range of parish groups. The representatives shared their mission, explained what they do, and welcomed anyone interested in getting involved. It offered longtime parishioners and newly welcomed Catholics—especially those who entered the Church at Easter—a chance to discover ways to serve and connect. Highlighted ministries included the Knights of Columbus, the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Committed Adorers, OLS School, the Parish School of Religion, Mother’s Day Out, the Food For Our Journey nonprofit food van, Pastoral Care, and both the Middle School and High School Youth Groups. Together, they and other ministries showcased the many ways the parish lives out the commitment to faith, service, and community.
