Holy Family Catholic Church in Ensley hosted the 6th annual Green Mass. Passionist Father Phil Paxton was the celebrant and fellow Passionists Fathers Hugo Esparza and Justin Nelson concelebrated. Deacon Jacky Rodgers assisted. The Green Mass, sponsored by the Passionist Communities of Alabama and the diocesan Office of Black Catholic Ministry, is held annually in thanksgiving for all who labor in “green jobs.”
