Prince of Peace Catholic School in Hoover has once again received the prestigious Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School of Excellence Award for 2022, recognizing the school’s excellent quality of education. This marks the third consecutive Blue Ribbon award for the school.

Criteria for the award required a comprehensive school self-assessment including a survey of the school’s stakeholders (parents, students, faculty, staff, and administrators), which showed resounding support for the school’s initiatives and programs. Other categories of criteria successfully met were: school organization and culture; challenging standards and curriculum; active teaching and learning; technology integration; professional community; leadership and education vitality; school, family, and community partnerships; and other indicators of success.

Prince of Peace Catholic School is a pre-K3 through grade eight school conveniently located in Hoover. It is a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the National Catholic Education Association.
