Local Chapter 19 of the Knights of Peter Claver, Inc. Meritorious Fourth Degree Ladies of Grace, recently marked its 45thanniversary with a celebration themed as “A Celebration of Gratitude, Past and Present.” The celebration consisted of a candle lighting ceremony, a Litany of Gratitude, and words of inspiration by Gracious Lady Dr. Helen W. Taylor. Chapter 19 Faithful Navigator Maxine Allen presented Dr. Taylor with an appreciation of service award, and Father Phil Paxton, C. P., added a blessing for the celebration. A reception followed. To mark the anniversary, the chapter donated 45 new blankets to the Jimmie Hale Mission in Birmingham.
