Local school celebrates faith, excellence, and service in its school community

Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School recently celebrated Catholic Schools Week (CSW) with creative and fun service-oriented activities to honor those who contribute to the school’s success throughout its community! The students paid tribute not only to families, faculty, and staff, but also to volunteers, community supporters, and local leaders. In response to the Catholic social teaching of the month, the students also collected money to help St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Madison to help repair damage caused by freezing weather over the recent holidays.

This year’s CSW theme, “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service,” was designed for a specific purpose to help form students to be good citizens of the world, love God and neighbor, and enrich society with the leaven of the Gospel and by example of faith.
