October is the month of life and Knights of Columbus Grand Knight Nick Bertella thanked all of the members of St. Francis Xavier Council #10064 and the parishioners of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church for their care, concern, and most generous donations to the Tree of Life Project. Each October for more than 22 years, this council has contributed dollars, goods, and services to Her Choice of Birmingham. A Christmas tree is set up and colored leaves are placed on the tree with items needed. Everyone is invited to bring new items. This year the parish and visitors contributed needed items and monetary gifts amounting to more than $7,000.

Her Choice of Birmingham has a trained and caring staff that offer truth and unconditional care, before, during, and after pregnancy. This years’ price increases affect everyone and is especially challenging for women who become pregnant. Her Choice of Birmingham helps with diapers, baby wipes, clothes, bottles, beds, strollers, crib beds, car seats, and much more. Her Choice of Birmingham also offers their great thanks for these contributions. Grand Knight Bertella reminded Knights at their recent meeting the need never ends, and when Her Choice of Birmingham reaches out with particular and special needs, the Knights of Columbus will stand ready to help.
