Silas Hahs was recently named a National Merit Scholarship Program finalist. He attends Huntsville High School and is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Huntsville. He volunteers in the church nursery and helps at Vacation Bible School every summer. Another Huntsville area student, Lydia Buechler, was named a semifinalist. She attends Grissom High School and is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Huntsville. She sings in the choir at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Huntsville and is a highly accomplished swimmer.
