Holy Spirit Regional Catholic School holds golf tournament

On April 8, Holy Spirit Regional Catholic School in Huntsville held its inaugural golf tournament to foster community relations and raise funds for future school growth. The Holy Spirit Golf Classic and 19th Hole Par-Tee, a post-event social, was sponsored by 31 local businesses and individuals.

Eighty golfers, including Holy Spirit Catholic Church’s associate pastor, Father Daniel Sessions, and Holy Spirit School’s principal, Vince Aquila, joined in the fun at Huntsville Country Club. After registration, lunch, and perusing golf-centric raffle items, golfers took to the greens. Around one hour into the tournament, golfers and event volunteers paused to view the first total solar eclipse since 2017.

After the event, golfers and members of the Holy Spirit School community, including parents, teachers, administrators, and sponsors, mingled at the 19th-Hole Par-Tee, enjoying food, drinks, camaraderie, and a silent auction. The tournament proved to be a great community-building event. Holy Spirit School expressed gratitude not only to the many volunteers who spent countless hours helping make the event a success but also to all the sponsors who supported the school in its first foray in hosting an event of this magnitude.
