The Diocese of Birmingham was blessed to receive Cardinal Alvaro Ramazzini, Bishop of Huehuetenango, Guatemala, for a visit to the community of the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Albertville, Sept. 20-22. During the first day of his visit, the cardinal celebrated Mass with the Mayan community in the morning and attended a cultural event in the afternoon. On his second day, he met with Bishop Raica. Following a noonday Mass, the cardinal and the bishop took part in a community celebration. The afternoon brought a visit to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cullman.
