Diocesan Director Recognized for His Dedication

Late last year James Watts, the director of the Diocese of Birmingham’s Office of Black Catholic Ministry, was recognized by Legacy of Hope, Alabama’s organ and tissue donation alliance, for his dedication to the program. “We honor the dedication of Mr. James Watts,” said LaToya Bishop, a representative of the organization, “… for his help in identifying new African American Task Force members, connecting us to future partners in Montgomery for the Gospel Celebration and Barbershop Initiatives. He has gone above and beyond to make sure that we had these new and amazing partnerships and have also been on all the calls/video chats/emails for these new connections. Thank you, Mr. Watts, for keeping organ donation on the forefront.” Legacy of Hope’s mission is to “end the wait and suffering by shepherding the gift of life to those in need of organ and tissue transplant.”
